Pine Ridge isn't a corporate chain with a 1-800 number. It's Patti, Stephen, and Jamie: a family who bought this mountain property in 2017 to create the kind of campground they wanted to stay at themselves. When you call, they answer. When you need something, they're on-site. They know your name, your RV, and probably your dog's name too.
At 2,050 feet elevation, the temperature runs 10 degrees cooler than Gettysburg. Sites back up to Michaux State Forest, where 40 miles of ATV trails start right from the campground. Some sites catch mountain views, others tuck into the woods for natural shade and privacy.
Your base camp puts you 30 minutes from Gettysburg National Battlefield, 10 minutes from the Appalachian Trail, and 35 minutes from the Carlisle Fairgrounds. Load up the ATVs and hit the trails, or take a day trip to local orchards and wineries. The whole of Adams County opens up from here.
The seasonal community centers around the pool and pavilion, where weekend events run from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Adults gather at the Corn Crib Bar on weekend evenings. Kids claim the playground until sunset. Fiber Wi-Fi reaches every site, the bathhouse stays spotless, and the laundry room means you can pack light.
